cancellations and rescheduling

Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, I have modified my cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all of my clients. I hope this will alleviate any stress or hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule for any reason, but especially if you are not feeling well, I understand and request you to please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations at this time.

If you are late for your scheduled session, you will receive the remainder of your scheduled time. Appointment times are as scheduled and cannot extend beyond the stated time to accommodate late arrivals.

If you do not contact me and do not show for a scheduled appointment, you will be considered a no-show. You will be billed for the full price of the session.

Insurance clients: I do not bill insurance companies for no-shows. In the event of such, you are responsible for paying 100% of my current rate for the scheduled session.

Massage/bodywork is never appropriate care for infectious or contagious illness. Please do not hesitate to cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware of ANY symptoms, your own or anyone in your household. Likewise, you can be certain that I will respect your right to stay healthy and will reschedule our appointment if I or anyone in my household is sick.

Not expected or necessary. Anything extra you choose to give will be donated to the charity organization of my choosing.

Touchless pay options are preferred. I can cash, personal checks, credit cards, and HSA cards.

bunch of other stuff you agree to when we schedule

I understand that the massage/bodywork I receive is provided for the basic purpose of relaxation and relief of muscular tension.

If I experience any discomfort during the session, I will immediately inform the practitioner so that the pressure and/or strokes may be adjusted to my level of comfort.

I understand that massage/bodywork should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment and I should see a physician or other qualified medical specialist for any mental or physical health ailment of which I am aware.

I understand that massage/bodywork practitioners are not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental illness and that nothing said in the course of the session given should be construed as such.

Because massage/ bodywork should not be performed under certain medical conditions, I affirm that I have stated all my known medical conditions and answered all questions honestly.

I agree to keep the practitioner updated as to any changes in my medical profile and understand that there shall be no liability on the practitioner’s part should I fail to do so.

I also understand that any bigoted or sexually suggestive remarks or advances made by me will result in immediate termination of the session, and I will be liable for payment of the scheduled appointment.
