cancellations and rescheduling
Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, I have modified my cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all of my clients. I hope this will alleviate any stress or hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you are not feeling well, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule your session. To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations at this time.
lateness
If you are late for your scheduled session, you will receive the remainder of your scheduled time. Appointment times are as scheduled and cannot extend beyond the stated time to accommodate late arrivals.
no-shows
If you do not contact me and do not show for a scheduled appointment, you will be considered a no-show. You will be billed for the full price of the session.
Insurance clients: I do not bill insurance companies for no-shows. In the event of such, you are responsible for paying 100% of my current rate for the scheduled session.
sickness
Massage/bodywork is never appropriate care for infectious or contagious illnesses. Please cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware of ANY symptoms, your own, or anyone in your household. Likewise, I respect your right to stay healthy and will reschedule our appointment if I or anyone in my household is sick.
gratuities
Appreciated, not expected. In lieu of gratuities, please consider donating to these organizations I support.
payment
I can accept cash, personal checks, credit cards, and HSA cards. Touchless payment options are preferred.
client expectations and conduct
Massage/bodywork is provided for the basic purpose of relaxation and relief of muscular tension.
If you experience discomfort during the session, immediately inform me so that the pressure, position, or environment can be adjusted to your level of comfort.
Massage/bodywork is not a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment. See a physician or other qualified medical specialist for any mental or physical health ailment of which you are aware.
Massage/bodywork practitioners are not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, to diagnose, to prescribe, or to treat any physical or mental illness and that nothing said in the course of the session is to be construed as such.
Massage/ bodywork should not be performed under certain medical conditions. As a receiver of services, you affirm that you have stated all known medical conditions and answered all questions honestly.
You agree to keep me updated as to any changes in your medical profile and understand that there shall be no liability on my part should you fail to do so.
Any sexually suggestive or bigoted remarks made will result in immediate termination of the session. Full payment of the scheduled session will be collected.
